Dog
Adoption Application

Thank you for considering adoption with purrfect pawprints!

what to expect in our adoption process:

Fall in Love: Read the bios of our adoptable animals and let us know who you think might best fit into your household and lifestyle.

Complete the Application: Please complete all areas of the adoption application so that we can gather a bit of information about you. This helps us match up the pet that best fits your needs.

Phone Interview: If your application appears to be a good match for the animal you applied for, or one of the other animals in our care, a phone interview may be the next step in your journey. These are done on a case by case basis. [Please understand that we are a 100% volunteer based organization, and we cannot respond to every inquiry.]

Meet-n-Greet: Once your application is approved, we can make arrangements for you to meet the pet you have been approved for (usually at one of our Adoption Partner locations).

Home Check: In some circumstances, a home check might be part of the process. This will give us the opportunity to meet anyone else who resides in the home, and any other family pets that are in the home. A home check helps us determine if the environment is suitable and ready for a new dog. We are not looking for a flawless home, just a safe home.

If distance is a factor in personally carrying out a home check, we will, on occasion, do a virtual check via some form of video chat.
We are open to out-of-state adoptions—when the adopter is willing to make arrangements to personally, physically pick-up the animal.

Adoption: Just like each dog we have, every adoption is unique. We will work with you to arrange and finalize your adoption.
And, we have Adoption Coaches available to help throughout the transition period and beyond to facilitate a truly happily-ever-after for all!

Our adoption fees can vary. Please, view individual bios for additional information.
Adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Applications are NOT approved on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please note that your answers on this application will not necessarily qualify you for nor disqualify you from adopting.
